A Sweet Sailor Themed Christening Celebration

I worked on a limited budget. So, I had to find a caterer who can provide great food and service at an affordable cost.  By the way, this was not only a christening celebration but a post-birthday of the celebrant's daddy.

Church: Sagrada Familia Parish, Bagumbayan Taguig City
Special baptism (Tuesday to Saturday only) cost Php1500 inclusive of first pair of godparents. Additional  fees include:
Succeeding godparents at Php50 each
Baptismal bib cost Php50
Baptismal certificate at  Php50
Candle for godparents at Php5 each
Candle for parents at 2.50 each
Feedback: You just need to visit the church office  to fill-up a form and pay the reservation fee. There is a pre-baptism seminar 30 minutes before the ceremony proper.

Party Venue: Open Clubhouse at our compound. We rented it at Php3,000 around 60pax capacity.
Feedback: We were the ones who did the cleaning. The sound system was great. There were fans in all corners though it was still very hot at that time because it was a luncheon event.

Caterer: Queensland Catering
Contact: Michelle Galdiano
Rating: Food was definitely good. All communications were made by email, phone call and even by chat.  Service was great. Spent only Php16,150 for 60pax.

Photographer: Alan Mercado (no pics yet)

Decorated Cupcake Towers: Cakerista
I ordered the pink and blue cupcake towers at Php250 each.
All cupcakes were made by me. I prepared vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with blue and pink frosting for the guests.

Giveaways to Godparents: Ceramic bowls (from Landmark) with red velvet cupcake (by me)
I just stick-on printed design and then use tape to stick the ribbon with personal message.

Baby Hair Accessories: Labor of love
All of my girls hair accessories were made by me.

Baby white dress and shoes: Hand-me-down from her ate

Baby pink dress: SM Department Store

Mommy dress and shoes: 168 Mall , Divi

Daddy Polo: SM Department Store

Daddy pants and shoes: Closet

Invitations: DIY by one of the Ninongs

Message Wall: DIY
I use blue fabric that I purchased at Divi then hang by tying the ends. I then used yellow yarn to hang extra invites, photos of the celebrant and the daddy.

I printed message notes using MS word. I got the idea from a fellow n@w. Will soon post a link to her blog.

Gift table and cupcake table: DIY
I bought fabric at divi and did the skirting of all tables. I decorated the cupcake tables with pinwheels (made from scrapbook paper), a lighthouse (something we already had in the house), printed the invite and used an old frame to display at the gift table, etc. I might make a separate posts for all the DIYs.

Table centerpiece: DIY
Hand stitched felt sailboats with candies inside I have a separate post here.

All other decors: DIY
Paper sailor hats (at the kiddie corner), Notes, Food labels, Streamers, etc.
